Diana Pérez is a member of the Spain and Portugal Unit at BBVA Research, where she is in charge of monitoring different indicators of the Spanish economy.

She holds a degree in Economics from Pompeu Fabra University, where she had the opportunity to spend an exchange semester at the University of Edinburgh.

During her last year of university, she became interested in programming and the use of computer tools, which has led her to start a Master in Data Science at the Open University of Catalonia.

Her areas of interest are political economy and data visualization and analysis.

During the 2019-2022 period, sales of goods abroad have performed similarly to those seen in the rest of Europe (5.4% vs. 8.1% recorded in Europe), while it is exports of services that have shown the greatest increase (+33.9% in Spain vs. 10.1%).
