Regulation
María Abascal
Lead Economist
Managed by María Abascal, this unit takes charge of studying new financial regulatory proposals that emerge globally, with a particular focus on rules for bank resolution. It also studies the new international financial architecture, and in particular changes in institutional governance in the euro zone, such as the creation of the banking union. In view of the regulatory tsunami, it is essential to have a detailed analysis of the new framework, with monitoring of subsequent regulatory developments so as to be able to assess the impacts on the financial system.
