Niccolò Morocutti joined BBVA Research in February 2026 and is part of the Economic modelling team.

He holds a BSc in Economics and Business Economics from Maastricht University, where he worked as a data analyst during his studies, as well as a Master’s degree in Financial Economics from the same university, which he completed with additional credits, and a Master’s degree in Economics from the Barcelona School of Economics, with a specialization in econometrics, macroeconomics, and finance.

His main research interests include macroeconometrics, monetary policy, central banking, and financial economics.
