Oscar de las Peñas is currently Head of Transformation at BBVA Research. Previously to this position, he has worked in different positions in Technology and Systems Architecture in the area of Corporate and Investment Banking of BBVA.

He has also worked in other companies in the BBVA group as manager of Systems Architecture in Uno-e and manager of Technology and Quality of Service in Adquira.

Apart from companies of the BBVA group, he has worked in both Spanish and multinational companies occupying different positions: head of the Systems Architecture in America On Line and in Seguros Ocaso, project manager in Netscape and in Indra and software engineer and head of Internet services in Westinghouse Signals.

Oscar obtained his Degree in Telecommunication Engineering, specializing in Transmission by Physical Means and Telematics, at Polytechnic University of Madrid. During his master thesis he collaborated with the London Underground. He has a MBA majoring in Production, Quality and Technology from the same university.
