Santiago López Moskovits joined BBVA Research as an Economist in September 2026, as part of the Spain and Portugal team.

He holds a Master’s degree in Economics and Finance from CEMFI, a Master’s degree in Economics from Universidad de San Andrés (Argentina), and a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from Universidad de Buenos Aires.

Before joining BBVA Research, he worked as a research assistant for researchers affiliated with, among other institutions, Harvard University and Banco de España, contributing to projects on international trade, the energy transition, and economic growth. He also has experience in the public sector, having worked at Argentina’s Ministry of Productive Development, where he contributed to the design and analysis of public policies aimed at fostering the development of new productive sectors.

His main areas of interest are macroeconomics, economic growth and development, trade and international economics, and the use of microdata for macroeconomic analysis.
