Tomás Igonin joined BBVA Research in May 2026 as part of the Long-Term Analysis, Digital Economy and Social Sustainability team. He holds a double degree in Business Administration and Management and Law from the University of Barcelona, as well as a Master’s in Policy Economics from Erasmus University Rotterdam. Professionally, he has previous experience in the field of corporate and financial management.

His main research interests focus on macroeconomics and long-term economic and social changes.
