Víctor joined BBVA Research in 2023, working as an Economist in the Modeling cluster. His research has focused on assessing the effects that different policies and shocks have had on European and South American economies, using econometrics and machine learning techniques.

Previously, he worked as an international scholar at the University of Leuven (KU Leuven), where he was teaching assistant in European Policy Evaluation and supervised 3 Master’s theses. Additionally, he visited the research department of the Bank of Spain and the International Monetary Fund.

He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from University Carlos III of Madrid, a Master’s in Quantitative Economics from the University of Alicante, and is a PhD candidate at the IMT School for Advanced Studies Lucca.
