Francisco Javier García Arquero

Francisco Javier García is a Research Analyst in the Spain and Portugal unit at BBVA Research, where he collaborates in the collection and analysis of relevant data for economic research, such as macroeconomic indicators.

He holds a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics from the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid, where he also had the opportunity to take courses related to economics. This led him to further his education by completing a Master's degree in Quantitative Economic Analysis.

His primary interests and areas in which he would like to develop include data analysis and economic modeling.

Spain | Monitoring of the Recovery Plan. February 2024

72.7 billion euros, 91% of the planned total, has been approved over the lifetime of the Recovery Plan, but only around 33.5 billion (42% of the planned amount) have been resolved. In total, it is estimated that the funds would be reaching more than 500,000 businesses and families.
