    Asia Daily Flash | 1 June 2012: China’s PMI surprises to the downside, still showing expansion; Throughout Asia, weak exports outturns adding to growth concerns as inflation pressures recede

    China's official PMI for May, released today, surprised to the downside at 50.4% (BBVA: 51.5%; Consensus: 52.0%), down from 53.3% in April, but remained above the +50 threshold.
