Asia is bracing for a slow, grinding recovery

GDP growth slowed across most Asian economies in Q1 2015 led by a pullback in government spending, subdued domestic demand and negative exports growth. While the sluggish economic activity has prompted authorities to loosen monetary policy, policymakers remain vigilant about the risks to financial stability from elevated debt levels and bouts of liquidity shocks.
