Asian markets ended the week on a strong positive note as improving prospects in the US (lower jobless claims) and Europe (policy action) paved the way for investors to stay focused on the strong regional data releases of recent days. Gains were led by Shanghai (+1.4%) and the Philippines (+1.6%).
