Public deficit was below 0.7% at the end of first quarter

In the first quarter of 2014, General government deficit (excluding local authorities) stood at around 0.7% of GDP, a tenth below the previous year. By administrations, improving over the same period of 2013 comes from Central government, as the slight improvement of the Social Security surplus would offset the deterioration observed in the Autonomous communities.
