- The increase in GVA in 2024 was the result of the improvement in services (a high 4.1%, above the 2.7% in 2023) and the strong recovery of industry (3.9% in 2024).
- The Girona region, the Pla de Lleida region, and the Muntanya region led the growth in GVA in 2024, with a 4.5% increase, thanks to the strong performance of manufacturing and private personal services.
- In the Barcelona Metropolitan Area, manufacturing was the sector that saw the most significant increases (4.7%), although, given its importance, it was the growth in private personal services (4.3%) that played a more significant role.
