China | Narrowing trade surplus cannot explain November’s slump in foreign reserves

Chinese authorities announced a series of trade indicators for November, which suggest that the woes in China’s external sector persist. The trade surplus narrowed in November, although this does not fully explain the significant fall in foreign reserves during the same period.
