Peru | Strong expansion in December’s GDP, the higher result in two years

Real GDP grew 6.4% YoY in December, the highest monthly outturn in two years. The sources of this expansion were the strong increase in primary sectors (mining and fishing activity), and a more favorable behavior of non-primary sectors. Our preliminary estimate for January suggest that output growth will keep showing an interesting print, but lower than that in December.
