Chile | Central bank kept policy rate at 3%, as widely expected

Central bank kept both policy rate at 3% and the neutral bias. Nonetheless, the communiqué highlighted surprises in recent figures of activity and inflation, both below expectations. In this regard, we maintain our expectation that annual inflation will retreat faster –to levels below 3% YoY- consistent with a prolonged pause in the MPR.
