• Many of the migrant houses, shelters and soup kitchens in the Center and South-Southeast of Mexico are located a few yards or very close to the route of "The Beast", or in relevant entry cities of migrants.
• Several of the main migratory routes to the United States cross the Bajío. Querétaro, Celaya, Irapuato and León are bifurcation cities, where many migrants take or choose the route to follow to the Northern Border.
• Three main migration routes are identified: the Route to the Northeast Border (Cd. Acuña, Piedras Negras, Nuevo Laredo, Reynosa, Matamoros), the Route to Cd. Juárez, and the Pacific Route (to Agua Prieta, Nogales, San Luis Río Colorado, Mexicali, Tijuana).
• In the Bajío, West and North of Mexico, many of the migrant houses, shelters and soup kitchens are located in the main transit cities of migration, or destination cities along the Northern Border.
• Starting from Tapachula, the estimated road distance to Reynosa is 1,449 miles, to Piedras Negras 1,530 miles, Ciudad Juárez 1,863 miles, Nogales 2,127 miles, and Tijuana 2,497 miles.
